MISSION

Juneteenth in Pottstown creates generational impact by connecting elders, families, and youth in shared learning, leadership, and cultural pride.

Through storytelling, education, creative expression, and community engagement, the celebration honors the legacy of those who came before us while investing in the confidence, wellness, and leadership of the next generation ensuring that freedom, opportunity, and community power continue to grow for generations to come.

Pottstown Juneteenth is more than a cultural celebration it is an intentional economic reinvestment strategy rooted in equity, sustainability, and generational impact.

Each year, we intentionally prioritize community-based and minority-led vendors to power the core operations of the festival from staging and entertainment to food, marketing, security, design, and logistics. This mission-driven approach ensures that dollars spent during Juneteenth circulate within our local economy and strengthen the very businesses that serve our community year-round.

By selecting local entrepreneurs and small enterprises, Pottstown Juneteenth:

  • Strengthens local business sustainability by creating reliable contract and revenue opportunities
  • Supports job creation through vendor partnerships and event staffing
  • Builds trusted, long-term relationships with minority-owned and emerging businesses
  • Expands the local economic ecosystem

When our community gathers to celebrate freedom, culture, and resilience, we are also actively building economic justice one contract, one collaboration, and one small business at a time.

It is a movement rooted in freedom, fueled by community, and designed for generational impact.
